Renaissance and Reformation celebrated the Great Awakening –the birth of modern age from the ashes of Darkness. The Phoenix found the new freedom that resulted in numbers of discoveries and inventions, man has conquered “Time & Space”. The concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”is yet to be realized. Quest for knowledge, Wealth & Power has been quenched and man is still reaching new fresh avenues to drink the elixir of Life. The Scientists are burning mid night oil to go away far from this Global Village and Madding crowd of mankind to build castles on the Moon or on the Mars. Despite all its blessings, Globalization has opened up the Pandora’s Box that throws up a challenge- Survival of the fittest! This often questions on the present education system.
Modern Education system, as such, is well-set to enable the posterity to be intellectually sharp, mentally alert, physically sound and spiritually elevated in order to ensure a peaceful co-existence. Gone are the days when Emphasis was on gathering information, mugging of things and vomiting on the answer sheet. However, today’s education is value-based. Its’s all about Learning by doing; attitude development; culturing life-skills; inculcating values; contributing for the society we live in; cultivating intelligence as well as wisdom, and developing intellect! In a nut-shell, Education, today, is responsible for bringing about a holistic development in our future generation.
Esteemed Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is the pioneer of Modern Education System. Here students are allowed ‘restricted freedom’ to think and create, observe and analyze, do and learn.
The Vidyalaya Website is an unique platform to showcase the literary and creative pursuits of its family members. This is not just a means for us to communicate our thoughts but it also highlights the success and achievements of our pursuits. It gives an insight to ones thought and creativity through varied expressions. Our students have been able to leave their imprint in the path they have walked till now and the Vidyalaya has carved a niche of its own in the educational hub. While nurturing the potential of our young learners, I would like to urge, the Parents to inspire their children to grab this opportunity to participate and excel in the various activities of the Vidyalaya, both scholastic and co-scholastic. I hope, this effort of our young minds will serve as a stepping stone towards the many mile stones we have to cover in pursuit of excellence. We believe that this journey of excellence will never be over.
